Meet David, with over 30 years of Rail Engineering experience in the freight, passenger and rail plant sectors, there isn’t much David hasn’t seen! With his expertise, he has helped companies redevelop their competence management systems and ensure 100% compliance with external and internal audits, as well as training, coaching, mentoring and assessing.
David brings deep expertise in rail engineering, training, assessment, and Internal Quality Assurance (IQA). As a former Lead IQA heading NVQ centres, he has managed rail qualifications and supported the development of assessors and IQAs across the industry.
He has successfully trained and mentored countless apprentices, many now in key roles within the rail sector, and has extensive experience working in multi-cultural environments, including the Middle East. His inclusive, candidate-focused approach ensures individuals perform at their best.
Known for his honesty, integrity, and passion, David is committed to helping staff at all levels, from apprentices to managers, grow through robust training and competence systems. He’s driven by a simple goal: helping people stay safe, compliant, and capable in their roles.
Beyond the rail industry, David has over 20 years of voluntary service with Scouting and charities supporting children and adults with special needs. He holds an enhanced DBS certificate (No. 001768761856) registered with the government update service.
